A brief overview.

PROGRAMME CONTENT IN DETAIL.

- The programme consists of four assignments in various departments – two take place in Germany and two abroad. You will gain valuable insights into business processes, strategy, culture, and our brands from both a local and global perspective.
- To ensure a smooth international experience during your stays abroad, we provide full support for accommodation, whether in a company-arranged apartment or hotel. As the global assignments are handled like business trips, all associated costs are fully covered. Additionally, you will have a say in the planning process, allowing you to influence which country or market you work in.
- More broadly, you will play an active role in shaping both the programme and its content.

Establishing an excellent international network, along with working on strategic and operational projects in three different countries, provides a solid foundation for a successful international career at the BMW Group. Networking within the programme happens in multiple ways:
- You take part in monthly events featuring expert speakers and dialogue sessions, creating opportunities for professional exchange and inspiration.
- There is also continuous interaction with international programme participants. This fosters connections across different markets and cultures.
- Moreover, you benefit from access to the extensive network of experienced mentors, providing valuable guidance and career support.
Furthermore, you will join dynamic teams to work on exciting and diverse projects – during your assignments, but also in joint team projects with other trainees.

- As an AcceleratiON participant, you will be guided by an experienced manager who acts as your personal mentor, supporting both your professional and personal development.
- The mentoring experience is built on regular exchange and close collaboration. For instance, you will gain clarity on your career direction and growth opportunities through dedicated coaching sessions.
- Your mentor is carefully selected to match your individual profile and focus areas, ensuring tailored guidance throughout the programme. Together, you will plan and shape your assignments, allowing for a personalized and strategic career path. All mentors are experienced leaders with extensive networks and provide you with valuable industry connections and insights.

- As an AcceleratiON participant, you have the opportunity to develop individually and tailor the programme to your personal goals. The programme supports both management and expert careers.
- Throughout the programme, you decide in which direction you would like to grow, with valuable insights and support from your mentor. This flexibility allows you to actively influence your career path and make the most of your experience at the BMW Group.

- Broaden your horizon and get to know the BMW Group in total: As part of your AcceleratiON journey, short-term placements give you the chance to explore different areas of our business – like production, sales, and customer service.
- During the short-term placements, you will gain hands-on experience, deepen your understanding of key processes, and learn what truly matters to our customers.

- Right from the start, you benefit from the security of a permanent employment contract. The remuneration is based on the applicable collective agreements.
- The programme offers flexibility to shape your individual career path, allowing you to tailor your experience according to your strengths and interests.
- In addition, participants consistently report high satisfaction with the compensation and benefits package. The competitive salary, along with a wide range of additional benefits, ensures an excellent overall package.

More FAQs.
We assess all qualifications in total and rate them against one another. Thus, if you for example have less experience abroad but therefore more practical experience or very good grades, we would still be happy to receive your application.
All open AcceleratiON positions will be posted on this website. Usually, there are more places than job ads as the positions are grouped into individual clusters. The precise number of positions is aligned to the demand of the company and different departments and can therefore vary.
AcceleratiON is suitable for both bachelor's and master's graduates from corresponding fields of study. However, the master's degree is preferred.
As a trainee you receive a permanent employment contract right from the beginning at the BMW Group. Consequently, the regulations of the part-time and fixed-term employment act (“Teilzeit- und Befristungsgesetz”) do not apply.
The required experience abroad amounts to a stay abroad of at least 4 months. The stay can have taken place within the framework of a semester abroad, through practical experience abroad or a work & travel experience.
It is very important to us to make the selection process as simple and fast as possible for our applicants. Therefore, we inform all applicants immediately about the status as soon as the application has been reviewed. However, due to the large number of positions and applications, it can sometimes take a while before the first response is received. Details on deadlines and time frames can be found in the application process chart on this website.
You can have a part-time job or start your own business. However, both must be officially registered with and approved by HR.
The goal of the Fastlane programme is to be taken on as a master's graduate in an employment relationship with the BMW Group – not as a trainee.
You can find specific information about this on this website. Please also have a look on our application process chart.
Our decision is based on a comprehensive and objective consideration of all factors. The online test, together with your grades and other application documents, is part of our pre-selection process. On this basis, we decide in a first step who could be considered for our positions with their skills and qualifications. If you for example have less experience abroad but therefore more practical experience or very good grades, we would still be happy to receive your application as we assess all qualifications in total and rate them against one another. Please note that we cannot consider your application in the further selection process without the online test.
As you start in a permanent employment relationship with the BMW Group, the remuneration is based on the applicable collective agreements.
You will start as a permanent employee with the BMW Group. Various modules during the AcceleratiON programme will help you find a suitable position afterwards. You will – for example – build a large network that you can later draw on, and benefit from professional as well as personal growth.
You can also apply for the AcceleratiON programme during your master's programme before you have received your final grade. However, you must have completed your studies by the time the programme starts.
Our programmes are managed centrally from Munich. Events such as semester workshops and seminars also take place there. Nevertheless, we encourage our participants to complete practical assignments at our other locations (Leipzig, Berlin, Eisenach, Regensburg, Dingolfing, Landshut). These are planned in consultation with the mentors and in consideration of the respective interests of our programme participants. During the trainee programme, two out of four practical assignments will also take place abroad.
After the end of the programme, all doors in our company are open to you. However, you are not contractually obliged to stay with the BMW Group.
