As part of the establishment of the new high-voltage battery assembly plant and thus even deeper integration into the Gäuboden communities, the team recruited from project and local BMW Group employees took part in the Strasskirchen soccer village championship for the second time.

Our team showed nerves in the penalty shoot-out. But this time only in the final. In the end, it was enough for an excellent second place.

The course of the tournament: In the semi-finals, the FC Bayern fan club Strasskirchen was sent home. And in Group A, the factory team eliminated defending champions Aigner&Wurm and Favourite Pils Pub Royal. Our factory team got better and better into the tournament and was therefore deservedly in the final against the team “The Croatians”. After Kiendl's early 1-0 (presentation: Marxt), the factory team was on winning ways for a long time. Shortly before the end, “The Croats” scored the equaliser. They did not show any nakedness in the penalty shoot-out and won the title.
