San Luis Potosi, Mexico, August 8, 2016.- Last Friday, August 5, at the facilities of the Technological University, the signing of the letter of the second generation of apprentices took place for the Dual Program at the BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosi. The new generation that will join the BMW Training Center in San Luis Potosi is made up of 50 students from the Technological University, 25 CONALEP students and 12 CEDVA students.
The event was attended by the Rector of the Technological University, Manuel Medellín Milán, and the General Director of CONALEP, Miguel Campos Cambranis, as well as the Director of CEDVA, Jorge Contreras. Also the authorities of San Luis Potosi, Manuel Lozano Nieto, Secretary of Labor and Social Security and Lucia Garate Gómez, Federal Delegate of the Secretariat of Public Education in the State; who are members of the advisory board of the Technological University.
Likewise, executives of the BMW Plant in San Luis Potosi welcomed the apprentices to the BMW Group family. Mr. Hermann Bohrer, President and CEO of the BMW Group Plant in San Luis Potosi, encouraged students to follow their dreams, to work hard and to concentrate to achieve their goals. For her part, Lourdes Quijas, Human Resources Director of the BMW Group Plant in San Luis Potosi, extended congratulations to the parents and relatives of the students for the support given to the young people to have achieved this accomplishment in their professional training.
BMW Group already has a first generation of 24 students from the Technological University, who already have a year in Mechatronics training. The second generation of students will train in Mechatronics, Production and Automotive Systems, areas that will complement the training of future workers of the company.
