BMW Manufacturing Announces Management Change.

Spartanburg, S.C.  BMW Manufacturing announced today that Roger Ruehs has been named the new Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Finance and Compliance. Ruehs replaces Stefan Diregger, who has returned to BMW Group in Germany. 

Ruehs has worked at the BMW Group for 18 years, most recently as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Finance and Compliance at the BMW Group plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.  He has also worked as the Director of Controlling for the BMW Group Production Network in Munich, Germany, and the Director of Controlling at BMW Plant Regensburg.

BMW Manufacturing currently produces more than 1,500 vehicles each day, exporting about 70 percent of these models to more than 125 global markets. The model portfolio includes five top-selling BMW X models, four Motorsport X models and two plug-in hybrid electric X models. The factory has a production capacity of 450,000 vehicles and employs more than 11,000 people.
