Our Plant.

Pioneering mobility from sustainable production.

The BMW Group plant in Leipzig is one of the most modern car factories in the world. Series production began in March 2005. Today, around 1,300 vehicles roll off the production line here every day, currently the BMW 1 Series, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the MINI Countryman.

The BMW Group has already invested a total of more than four billion euros in the Leipzig location. The core workforce currently comprises around 6,800 employees. Green energy for the production of these cars is provided by four purpose-built wind turbines on site.
